Summer Social and Being Sociable - August 12th Event

18 Aug 2014 8:14 PM | Deleted user

Our August Learning Event was designed and conducted differently from most traditional monthly events. We didn’t have a presenter. We were not focused on any particular topic. We didn’t meet at our usual location.

We did, however, stay true to our program architecture and align with an ASTD competency – Personal Development. Our Summer Social and Networking Event allowed our attendees over two hours of unstructured, social networking opportunity to meet and build relationships with like-minded learning professionals from our area.

Our host, Chris Grasso of TMP Worldwide, provided a spectacular venue on the patio at their Waltham offices overlooking the picturesque Cambridge Reservoir. Sponsors Dr. Charles Tweedly of Pine Manor College and Dan Collier of TrainingPros kicked-off the evening’s festivities. Forty-four attendees,(many of whom were first-time participants), grew their professional networks while a beer and wine bar and sandwich/salad buffet helped to facilitate the mingling and conversations until nightfall brought the program to an end.
