Our monthly meetings are designed for all: the employed, the self-employed and those in transition. The goal is to enhance your technology awareness, share the most current thinking on training and help people learn while providing opportunities to network with your colleagues. The meeting will be divided into three parts: tech talk, key note speaker and networking.

TECH TALK Michael Getz- "Dive into Moodle: Exploring Below the Surface"

In this Tech Talk session, we’ll look at how this leading open-source course management system/virtual learning environment is being used in the e-learning industry, as well as the features and capabilities of this platform for creating and delivering instructor-facilitated or completely self-paced online courses.

KEY NOTE Mary Cheyne- “Humor in Trainings & Presentations”

“You don’t have to be funny on the platform unless you want to get paid”. - Patricia Fripp

Would you like to be a funnier speaker, presenter or trainer? Do you think an ability to make your audience laugh is valuable? If you answered ‘Yes’ to any of these questions, this workshop is for you.

In this presentation, you will:
•    Learn the secrets that funny presenters and speakers use to make their audience laugh.
•    Discover formulas you can use to create funny lines that your audience will laugh at time and time again.
•    Learn how to respond if no one laughs, and get a laugh as a result.
•    Uncover humor and discover your comedic style.

NETWORKING
You will have plenty of opportunities to network, so bring lots of business cards.
