The ATD Greater Boston Chapter Special Interest Group on Learning Measurement Presents:

Proving the Value of Soft Skills

with Tom Atkinson, Ph.D.

April 28, 2021

2:00 PM to 3:15 PM

VIRTUAL EVENT - Link in registration email

“Soft skills,” are becoming increasingly important in enabling individuals and companies to succeed in today’s business environment. These skills involve managing the complexities of interpersonal relationships in driving results. They are a critical component of leadership, teamwork, sales, customer service and other key roles. How can you demonstrate that developing “soft skills” leads to “hard results” in your company?

While Learning & Development professionals usually understand the importance of soft skills to business success, they frequently find it challenging to demonstrate the business value of investing in soft skill development. However, those who successfully implement a systematic measurement process often report compelling findings of the value of soft skills, and are better able to gain executive support for their initiatives. This program provides a robust approach for measuring soft skills in your organization.

Objectives

By attending the program, you will be able to:

  • Explain how soft skills lead to measurable business results.
  • Describe the need to show impact and ROI for major programs.
  • Design soft skills programs to deliver impact and ROI.
  • Explain how to measure program results at all 5 levels of the Phillips Model.

Tools, templates, case studies and job aids are provided to participants who attend and complete the interactive session.
