Only 15% of us—we learning professionals—feel we’re getting value from our learner surveys. In the most recent Learning Trends Survey 2022, 64% of us want to make modest or significant improvements in the way we are measuring learning. Even worse, scientific research from hundreds of studies show that traditional smile sheets are virtually uncorrelated with learning results! Fortunately, there is a better way, one that is easy and practical to use! In this session, renowned learning consultant and learning evaluator, Will Thalheimer, will share what he’s learned over the years. Drawing from his award-winning book, Performance-Focused Learner Surveys—the updated second edition was published earlier this year—Will will help us go beyond the research, he’ll share stories, he’ll show us how to craft performance-focused learner survey questions. This session is not to be missed! Not only does Will provide rigorous, relevant content, but his webinars are always engaging, fast-paced, interactive, and beautifully designed. As a bonus—maybe because he’s local to us in Somerville—Will promises to raffle two copies of his book for those in attendance.
