No matter where you work or what your role, you don’t do your job as an island all to yourself. You likely engage with many different people from colleagues, leaders, customers, and more. Have you ever dreaded working with someone? Avoided meetings with them? Complained about the work to do or how they did it? Had someone take credit for your ideas? Then you know the pains of collaboration gone wrong. With collaboration an unavoidable work activity, we need a fix! Join this interactive, experiential session to learn: fundamental problems that drive collaboration issues and actions you can take today to improve your collaborations.

Learning Objectives

  • Define basic collaboration problems
  • Compare and contrast different perspectives to a problem
  • Identify pitfalls of your past collaborations
  • Discuss and question your blockers to engaging in collaboration efforts
  • Prepare for future collaboration with example actions to promote connection
