Tech Talk Presentation: Building Your Personal Learning Network
Presenter: Christin Manning Faced with an onslaught and rapid creation of new information, Employees of the 21st Century have become increasingly committed to continuous learning. The art of leveraging Web 2.0 technologies to develop Personal Learning Networks (PLN) offers a means to navigate the maze. In this session, participants will learn tips to analyze their own learning network and utilize freely available tools to build a dashboard that can connect to their PLN.
Christin Manning is a PhD candidate in Lesley University’s PhD in Adult Learning program. She has 25 years of experience in training and development and has spent that past 10 years working as an Instructional Design Consultant helping corporations leverage technology for workplace learning. She has a MEd in Instructional Design from the University of Massachusetts where she is an Adjunct Lecturer.
Key Note Presentation: Context and Problem-Based Learning At a time when corporate learning professionals need to create learning opportunities beyond the high cost of formal leaning and for distributed workforces, informal learning is becoming more and more essential in the workplace.
