(Speaker Series - Session 3 of 4)
ATD Greater Boston’s 2025 Program Theme is “On the Freedom Trail of Leadership: Empathy and Empowerment for Change”
We’re excited to present our third speaker session for this year, exploring this powerful theme in action.
DESCRIPTION:
Words matter. The language we use every day significantly influences how others feel included, valued, and empowered in the workplace. Leadership is a journey, and much like walking Boston’s historic Freedom Trail, every step we take as leaders provides an opportunity to reflect, connect, and shape a better future through intentional choices. In this interactive workshop, we will explore the critical role of inclusive language in fostering empathy, strengthening relationships, and creating a culture of belonging in our organizations. Through real-world scenarios, participants will learn how to navigate moments when language gets messy, uncovering strategies to address missteps with grace and to model more inclusive communication.
