Leadership Development Today – A Panel Discussion

As organizations are rebounding and emerging from the economic downturn, the focus on learning and development is renewed. A major component in L & D strategy AND budget is allocated to developing a pipeline of effective and talented leaders. However, leadership development may not be in the “sweet spot” for every talent development professional.

Greater Boston ASTD is hosting a panel of local leadership development experts to share their experience and perspectives on the world of leadership development today. This moderated dialogue will introduce the latest trends and insights on programs and practices.

Our Panel:

  • Our Moderator - Jim Kimberly, President, Sapphire Consulting

    Jim Kimberly founded Sapphire Consulting after more than 25 years
    in the behavioral healthcare industry, with leadership roles in business development, M & A, marketing and OD Consulting. Jim’s advanced certification in emotional intelligence, executive assessment and coaching has helped create dynamic talent management solutions for a diverse client base. Jim is a skilled speaker, trainer, consultant and facilitator.

  • Naznine Tilak, VP of Talent Development, State Street Bank

    Naznine Tilak is a Human Resources and Talent Development professional with diverse experience in financial services and information technology industries. She is the Vice President of Talent Development at State Street.
    Training Magazine awarded Naznine with the ‘2014 Emerging Training Leader’ award for demonstrating stellar growth in leadership skills and business acumen.
  • Edith Onderick-Harvey, President, Factor in Talent

    Edith Onderick-Harvey, president of Factor In Talent, is a highly sought after partner for executives, teams and organizations. Her passion is helping clients strategically think about human capital, develop, engage and retain the best people, design effective organizations and achieve results. She is also the author of the upcoming book Getting Real: Strategies for Leadership in Today’s Resource-Constrained, Time-Strapped, Multi-Tasking World of Work.
  • Maurice Rondeau, Learning & Development Leader, Textron

    Maurice (Moe) Rondeau has a diverse twenty year background in global learning and organizational development including an expatriate assignment in the United Kingdom. His multi-industry experience provides him with a solid understanding of the challenges that business leaders face in engaging and retaining talent. Moe holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Communication, is a Six Sigma Green Belt and holds numerous certifications in learning & organizational development tool kits. He is currently pursuing his Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP) qualification from the American Society for Training & Development.
  • Marianne Scaffidi, Director of Learning & Development and Brand Culture, Swarovski

    Marianne Scaffidi has extensive experience working with all organizational levels creating, promoting, and delivering training solutions designed to support business strategy. She is passionate about creating an interactive and engaging business environment that supports learning. Marianne worked at several organizations designing and delivering successful programs in Leadership Development, Sales Capability, Team Effectiveness, Change Management, Performance Management, as well as many other topics.
