Every company starts the year with a business strategy. Maybe they want to bring a new product to the marketplace by the end of 2020 or double their top line sales by 2021. At the end of that time one of two things will have happened; either they’ve achieved the business results they envisioned, or they haven’t.

Let’s face it. In between business strategy and business results – “stuff happens.” And frequently the stuff that happens involves people.


In this interactive session you’ll examine Talent Optimization – the emerging discipline that helps organizations align their people strategy with their business strategy – and identify the role learning professionals play in making it all work.

  • Learn about the Talent Optimization discipline
  • Examine the Four Forces of Disengagement that stop organizations from achieving their desired business results
  • Identify specific actions you can take to position a learning strategy as key to successful strategy execution
Dottie LaMark is a dynamic learning professional with wide ranging experience in training and development within a variety of industries including finance, IT, semiconductors and quick service restaurants. She has served on the boards of Boston Trainer’s Roundtable and Boston ISPI. As Director of Learning at The Predictive Index she has been deeply involved in the creation of the talent optimization category.
