As a burnout survivor and former L&D executive, I have seen both sides of the work burnout issue. Through experience and extensive research, I have learned that the keys to burnout prevention start with identifying and accepting the stressors we face and crafting strategies for balancing our natural emotional responses. Owner of a 2022 Top 20 Workplace Wellness provider, a 2022 Top 10 Emerging Organizational Change company, and named a top 100 HR Professional of 2020, Dr. Allessandria Polizzi left her 20-year HR career following recovery from burnout to help others address wellbeing at work. With a cadre of diverse affiliates from around the globe, Verdant Consulting helps build the skills needed for today's workplace. Their programs focus on implementing the latest scientific resiliency, burnout prevention and psychological safety research to help people, teams, and organizations navigate change, bounce back from challenges, and create belonging. Dr. Polizzi is also co-Founder of the Kite HR wellbeing app for HR professionals and shares of-the-moment discoveries on all of these topics via the Be Verdant podcast. She currently resides outside of Boston with her husband, 2 children, pug, parrot, and elderly goldfish.
