About the Panelists

Martha DuffieldMartha Duffield, serves as the Global Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Lead at Salsify, a leading product experience management company. In this capacity, she spearheads global EDI strategy, facilitates ERG enablement, manages employer branding initiatives, and oversees data reporting efforts. With an extensive background in municipal engineering spanning over 15 years, Martha previously held the role of Chief Equity Officer for the Town of Lexington, where she made significant contributions to her local community. Martha holds an MBA from Simmons University and leverages her technical and business expertise to inform her data-driven and pragmatic approach to DEI.


Mila ErnestMila Ernest SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Chief Executive Officer of AmplifiHER

An accomplished corporate executive, Mila has served as a strategic people and culture business partner and organization change integrator in large commercial construction, civil engineering, higher education, and philanthropic organizations for over 20+ years.

Most notably, she was the Vice President of Human Resources responsible for the full employee lifecycle experience across the southeast territory. Her role involved driving policy development, total rewards practices and strengthening communication cross functionally to promote organization alignment and healthy team dynamics. Mila oversaw employee relations, learning & development, talent management, executive coaching and conflict resolution, employee engagement, workforce performance, succession planning, crisis management, local and national communications, diversity, equity & inclusion, exit strategies, compliance and operations leadership development for a business that consistently generated over $1.2B in revenue (~700 employees).

A proponent of transformational leadership and effective change management, Mila is skilled in identifying and analyzing complex structure and process inefficiencies as well as recognizing talent competency gaps. Community colleagues have sought her capabilities for assistance with strategic planning and people operations restructuring efforts over the years, which sparked the idea of a creating a boutique consulting firm to engage in partnership with organizations seeking her expertise in these areas.

AmplifiHER, LLC is the manifestation of her dream to help others pinpoint their priorities, develop a strategy, design the structure that supports the vision and ensure systems and processes effectively execute their custom plan for sustainable success. Mila helps individuals, teams, and companies optimize their value proposition and level up performance in three key areas:

She is also a powerhouse presenter delivering keynote addresses, fireside chats, and panel discussions.

Mila is a graduate of both the University of Florida, with a bachelor’s degree in English and Nova Southeastern University, with a master’s degree in human resource management and is currently pursuing a doctorate in business administration at the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. She is a 2021 Orlando Business Journal Diversity Award Honoree, a former Board of Trustee of the Orlando Science Center and former president of Human Resources Association of Broward County a Society for Human Resource Management affiliate chapter.


Samantha CaleroSamantha Isabel Calero, MPH is Vice President of People and Culture at YW Boston. Sam’s professional roots are grounded in youth work and community organizing, violence prevention and intervention, public health, strategy and facilitation. She brings over 15 years of experience to this role.

Prior to joining YW Boston, Sam served as the Equity Solutions Strategist for Technical Delivery at Abt Associates. There she worked with federal, state, and local clients across the United States and Puerto Rico on the social determinants of health to integrate equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility best practices throughout project lifecycles. Before Abt, she led her own consulting practice with government and nonprofit clients across Massachusetts, focused on change management and organizational development to advance racial and gender equity and trauma-informed systems of care.

Earlier in her career, Sam served as a cofounder of the Violence Prevention and Recovery Programs at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She received bachelor’s degree in Social Justice Advocacy from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her MPH in Health Policy from Harvard University. She is a member of Mijente and lectures at Clark University on Community Needs and Resources Assessment for the graduate program in the Department of International Development, Community, and Environment.
